COME AND DANCE TO THE BELLINGEN BIG BAND

BRING YOUR OWN FOOD & DRINKS

Following the Armistice Centenary Service there will be a community street party in the northern end of Hickory St from 12.00noon to 2.30pm. Hickory Street will be closed to all traffic from 10.00 in the morning from the Clock Tower to Pine Street.

The street will be decorated with flags, bunting and banners and everyone is invited to take part in this celebration of peace.

Entertainment is being provided by the Bellingen Big Band.

Lions Club caravan will supply food as will local cafes.

Families are invited to bring tables, chairs and a picnic lunch and enjoy the atmosphere of the event. The Hickory Street Alcohol Free Zone has been temporarily suspended by Bellingen Shire Council from 12.00 noon until 2.30pm to enable the community to BYO refreshments.

The Dorrigo Girl Guides are organising games for children. There will be a competition for the best decorated table and period costume.

The Dorrigo Dramatic Club will hire period costumes. Dina Luciani  will be at the theatre from 11am-1pm on Saturday 3rd November for those wishing to borrow.  Any specific enquiries before then to her on 6657 2243.

This will be a fun event for the whole family and will celebrate the event in the same spirit as it would have been in 1918.
