Steve is an Independent Australian recording and touring artist, Music Oz top 10 finalist (Outback Reggae), ISC song of the Year (Houston Texas) heat finalist (Angels will carry me home), Full writer member of APRA and is published by Aussie Independent Music (AUS) and Pegasus Music (NZ, Ireland, Europe and USA) and is based in Tamworth NSW.
Steve is a versatile performer who covers many styles of music from Pop. Dance, Rock, Reggae, Blues and Roots, Jazz, Ethnic and Easy Listening and also writes and produces soundtracks and jingles. Read more at http://stevecharles.webs.com/
Steve has toured right around Australia and has supported and worked with many great Australian performers such as Debra Conway, Ross "Eagle Rock" Wilson, Australian Idol Finalist Roshani Priddis, Golden Guitar winners Lawrie Minson and Rob Brown, Australia youv'e got talent finalists Those Gals, Top 30 Australian Idol Finalist Aaron Bolton and many more.
Steve is currently returning to his Dance and Club roots with latest single "Let's Go!" from the forth comming album "Welcome to Club Country" which is available on itunes, amazon, napster, yahoo music etc.
Steve has three albums available, self title roots album "Steve Charles", Instrumental "Metal Man" and folk rock album "Old Dog, New Trick" and four singles "Welcome to Australia", "Agoraphobia", "Outback Reggae" and "Let's Go!".
Steve is also an outspoken supporter of the Caroona Coal Action group who are trying to save their farms and one of Australia's most fertile regions (Liverpool Plains) and feeder for the Murray Basin from mining and active supporter of the Red Cross, CAN ASSIST cancer victim accomodation support group and Tamworth Oncology Unit and appeared on Farm Aid (07)
Steve has appeared on many television and radio programs including West Australian Childrens Hospital fundraiser Telethon Channel 7(3yrs), ABC Rage, ABC Radio and Prime.
Steve is also an avid supporter of Australian music and talent and was the organiser and Event Manager for Oz Music Week "Rock in the Forrest" concert Perth "Rock in the Pines" (Fremantle) and the Victorian Bush Fire Appeal Concert (Tamworth) and the Tamworth Oncology Unit CD and CD Launch Concert.
