Dorrigo Relay For Life meeting rescheduled to 4^th June

Last week’s Relay For Life meeting has been rescheduled to hopefully a dryer night.

A 3^rd attempt to get the planning off the ground will be held at the Dorrigo RSL on Thursday Night 4^th June  commencing at 7pm.

The coordinator for Relay For Life  from NSW Cancer Council will be in attendance.

Many hands make light work, so please consider attending the meeting to help out and requires a coordinating committee to work with the Cancer Council to ensure the event is successful

The event is scheduled for Friday 6^th and Saturday 7^th November 2009 at the Dorrigo Showground.

Celebrate life and create hope by joining your friends, family, cancer survivors and their careers in the common goal of defeating cancer.

Relay For Life is a fun, outdoor and overnight fundraising event where teams of 10 to 15 people take turns to walk around a local oval to raise funds for cancer research, education, support services and advocacy. Relay is for young and old and you can walk as many or as few laps as you like. It's not a race and you don't need to run.

A festival-style atmosphere is created around the event with participants being encouraged to pitch a tent, camp overnight and enjoy the community atmosphere. Participants are entertained with bands, food and fun.

To ensure that we raise significant funds and the event is fun and enjoyable, we need you input at the planning meeting, Thursday 4^th June 7pm Dorrigo RSL
