About the Chamber of Commerce

Dorrigo Chamber of Commerce acts as an umbrella organisation for the Dorrigo Plateau and represents and advocates on behalf of the diverse community of about 2,500 people. Unlike most Chambers, membership is almost equally across private, primary producers, voluntary organisations and business.

Despite the geographical identity and sense of community, five local government areas are represented on the Dorrigo Plateau meaning residents live on the edge of each shire and in the past have had no way of presenting a united front to government and the wider community.

The Chamber meets every month (except January) and everyone in the community is invited to attend regardless of membership.

Over the past few years the Dorrigo Chamber of commerce has become the first point of contact for new residents and businesses, government and non government agencies and media.

The Chamber sponsors a number of projects and applications for government funding which stand to benefit the community.
