Universities of the Third Age, or U3As as they are more often called, are voluntary, non-profit organisations which aim to offer older people low cost educational opportunities in pleasant, supportive social settings. Dorrigo Plateau U3A has been operating for several years providing interesting courses and activities for local people. There is no stipulated age for members however the majority of members who feel that they are in the "Third Age" of their lives, when the responsibility of raising children is behind them and work commitments are less pressing, are around 50 years of age and older.View Details
